| My name is Brian Williams (a.k.a. Happy Tats). I did my first tat. In 1986 with literally no education, so of course it was horrible ( a true scratcher tattoo ) . I’ve been totally self taught ever since. The only time I had the privilege of learning from someone else was when I got a tattoo from Bob Tyrrell, just watching him work the skin was a privilege. Then I took a color seminar from Deano Cooke in 2006, which was a great help. He taught me not to be scared to mix various colors, He said, “ It’s all art, work with it.” People seem to forget that we all tattoo because of those before us, their techniques and styles are what we all have grown from, now all I want is the opportunity to grow. My influences are anyone with artistic capabilities who can help me grow as an artist. My life ambitions are to care for my family, die a good and decent man, and grow to be the best artist that I personally can be. |
He's a true artist, in the sense of he does more than just tattoo, he paints as well as does computer graphics. Even though hes been tattooing for almost 8 years, hes been designing various art works for much longer. |
